BUD (Beyond-Use Date) for Premixed Peptides
When peptides Semaglutide come premixed in bacteriostatic water, the standard BUD is 30 days from the date the vial is first punctured. Bacteriostatic water contains a small amount of benzyl alcohol, which helps inhibit bacterial growth, but it does not preserve the peptide indefinitely. Once the vial is opened, the clock starts, and the medication should be used within 30 days for optimal potency, stability, and sterility. Unopened vials remain stable until the pharmacy-stamped expiration date, but once you inject that first needle, the 30-day BUD applies.
